Grant of Asylum

7/25/2023 – Immigration Court. The court granted asylum for a Chinese woman and two rider respondents based on the strong evidence of past persecution that was presented in her case. The persecution arose from China’s implementation of its coercive reproduction practices through its national family planning policy.

Although China has made progress in its family planning policies and allows married couples to have more than one child now, this is only a relatively recent change in position. For decades, China’s draconian birth control policies past caused millions of families to suffer needlessly. If you or anyone you know has suffered from China’s implementation of its one-child policy, feel free to contact my office for more information on possible immigration benefits for which you may be eligible in the United States.
